ASCE has honored Sarfaraz A. Ansari with the 2020 J.C. Stevens Award for the paper “Discussion of ‘Using an Improved Jet-Erosion Test to Study the Influence of Soil Parameters on the Erosion of a Silty Soil’ by Van-Nghia Nguyen, Jean-Robert Courivaud, Patrick Pinettes, Hanane Souli and Jean-Marie Fleureau,” published in the November 2018 issue of Journal of Hydraulic Engineering.
Ansari is currently a professor at the Aligarh Muslim University, in Aligarh, India. He is a regular contributor to the field of hydraulics research.
The J.C. Stevens Award recognizes excellence in a Society-published paper in the field of hydraulics, including fluid mechanics and hydrology.
