ASCE presents nearly 100 Society awards every year, recognizing civil engineers who advance the profession either through achievement or published papers.

The most recent Society awards are:

• Graham E.C. Bell, Ph.D., P.E., FNACE, F.ASCE, with the 2019 Stephen D. Bechtel Pipeline Engineering Award

• Kenneth R. Maser, Ph.D., P.E., M.ASCE, with the 2019 Wilbur S. Smith Award 

• Amit H. Varma, Ph.D., M.ASCE, with the 2019 Shortridge Hardesty Award

ASCE bestows Mindlin Medal to Amabili

ASCE has honored Marco Amabili, Ph.D., P.Eng, M.ASCE, with the 2021 Raymond D. Mindlin Medal for outstanding research contributions to applied solid mechanics, with special emphasis on theoretical, numerical, and experimental studies on nonlinear mechanics and large-amplitude vibrations of shells and plates.
