Life Member Reiner Dies at 66

Steven P. Reiner of Upland, CA, a versatile engineer in southern California and Denver known for his work in commercial land development, has died. He was 66.

Reiner, P.E., M.ASCE, was a project manager with Psomas based in Los Angeles. He was a licensed civil engineer for more than 40 years. Over the course of his career, he rose to become vice president of Hall & Foreman Inc. (now David Evans and Associates) and DRC Engineering Inc.

Reiner knew at age 9 that he wanted to be a civil engineer, and went on to receive his engineering degree from Colorado State University. He was a Life Member of ASCE, joining in 1973. His sons Matthew and Kyle are surveyors.

Those who knew Reiner remember him as a skilled communicator. His career success allowed him to fulfill several dreams, including seeing the Panama Canal and Alaska. He said his loves were three: his family, his career, and the Denver Broncos.
