Ibendahl Welcomed as ASCE Fellow

Elise Ibendahl, P.E., F.ASCE, the U.S. North Water Resources Solutions Leader for Jacobs, has been named a Fellow by the ASCE Board of Direction.

Ibendahl has over 22 years of experience in the water resources industry, and is a leader in the engineering community.

She is respected for her past service as president of the St. Louis Section and chair of the St. Louis Chapter of EWRI, and for serving as ASCE Region VII Governor. She currently serves as a corresponding member of MOSAIC and as a trustee and scholarship committee member for the ASFPM Foundation Board. She is also an External Advisory Committee member for Washington University’s Environmental Engineering department, having previously filled a similar role for St. Louis University.

Ibendahl is a senior technical resource for the hydrologic and hydraulic components of Jacobs project work, specializing in urban flood analysis and mitigation design, and has served as a regional leader within Jacobs for deployed FEMA Public Assistance Technical Assistance Contractor teams. She is experienced in hydrologic and 1D/2D hydraulic modeling of sewers and open channels in a variety of platforms. She has performed in the role of project manager and/or subject matter expert for over 70 projects related to flood risk management locally and throughout the world.

She is a graduate of Christian Brothers University in Memphis, Tennessee, and is a licensed professional engineer in the states of Missouri and Louisiana, a Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) and an Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP).
