ASCE Plot Points Season 4 Episode 3: S&C Associates is a small engineering firm in Sun Valley, Idaho, providing an array of essential services to the community. Sherri Newland, principal engineer and owner, started the company in 2016 with a plan to create a specific kind of supportive workplace culture.

And as circumstance would have it, four years in, that culture features an interesting dynamic: all six S&C staff members are women.

Newland and S&C intern Natalie Palmquist (a former ASCE New Face of Civil Engineering college honoree) talk about the resulting workplace culture and how the industry is changing.

And the ASCE Student Ambassadors offer tips for thriving in the virtual-learning life.
