ASCE has honored Richard H. Cuenca, Ph.D., P.E., M.ASCE, with the 2021 Royce J. Tipton Award for significant contributions to irrigation engineering, including evapotranspiration sensing and estimation; crop water use and measurement; reporting, education, and teaching that includes a world-renowned irrigation engineering textbook; standard development; regional hydrologic water balance measurement; remote sensing; and professional leadership.
The Royce J. Tipton Award recognizes contributions to the advancement of irrigation and drainage engineering in teaching, research, planning, design, construction, or management.
