ASCE is helping to prepare the engineering workforce of the 21st century. We’re doing this by helping every member matter more and making a bigger difference in their careers and lives. We recognize that continuing education remains a cornerstone for civil engineers’ ability to remain competent in their field and to safeguard the health and welfare of the public. We are here to help you meet those expectations, with new tools and resources to prepare you for the challenges that lie ahead.
ASCE President Emeritus Bob Stevens frequently spoke to student audiences during his term and pointed out that he was still a student, and had been throughout his career. Indeed, engineers are students for life, and this is particularly so in a world with rapidly evolving technology and growing needs for sustainability, resiliency, and safety. Consistent with Canon 7 of the Code of Ethics, engineers must continue their professional development throughout their careers and should keep current in their specialty fields through professional practice and continuing education.
To help our members meet these obligations and comply with continuing education requirements for licensure, the Society is doubling the popular 5 PDH program to provide each member with 10 no-cost, on-demand webinars. We are also doubling the choices offering many more options, including on-demand webinars that meet the required ethics credit.
In addition to ASCE’s magazines, newsletters, Smartbriefs, ASCE Collaborate, Access Engineering materials, and many other member educational benefits, ASCE’s free on-demand webinars open a world of knowledge that members can apply immediately in their jobs. Attendees also gain access to a wealth of information, from industry news and trends to technical content. Our on-demand webinars are carefully developed to deliver the most up-to-date content to make you a more effective civil engineer and leader.
As civil engineers continue to build and maintain the world’s infrastructure, ASCE strives to bring you the best tools to advance your career.
